Inyathi Guest Lodge
Knysna, Garden Route, Western Cape Accommodation
Welcome to Inyathi Guest Lodges in Knysna, heart of the Garden Route, South Africa.
A few days at Inyathi ('buffalo' in Xhosa, the local African language) and your idea of a guesthouse will never be the same. We're unique, we're different, we're African and very romantic!
With 11 little wooden chalets, set in a mostly indigenous garden, Inyathi gives the idea of a romantic, African village, right in the heart of Knysna! The Victorian baths, the separate entrances, the outdoor veranda's and the abundant bird life complement the picturesque environment.
Candles, African decorations and of course our ‘sleeping lion’ Koshka add to the uniqueness of our place.

We speak English, Afrikaans and French, so please feel free to try us out in any of those languages! See you soon, sien jou later, au revoir!
Linen as well as towels are provided (but it would be appreciated if you could bring your own beach towel...) and the chalets are serviced daily. We've got the adapters for the European plugs, as well as hairdryers on request.
All our chalets are equipped with colour TV, coffee and tea making facilities, heaters as well as fans. All bathrooms are en-suite, and have a shower or Victorian bath, washbasin and toilet.
Our breakfast is an experience on its own, with a mix of both English and continental influences. You'll find your favourite cereals on the buffet, as well as fruit juices, milk, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea, and most importantly a decent cup of filter coffee! Brown bread, white toast and cheese finalize the continental part of the buffet, while the eggs and bacon complement the English part of breakfast.
