Situated amidst Paternoster, Stompneusbaai, and St Helena Bay. Pristine beaches and grey granite rocks co-exist at this sheltered bay.
Plots are hard to come by. No wonder the resort has been named ´The Golden Mile´, in view of the ochre sunsets. A botanist's dream, Britannia Bay's floral kingdoms and marine marvels will bring you a holiday you won't forget. Join an archaeological dig at Langebaan's West Coast Fossil Park. Britannia Bay is home to over 200 bird species which tend indigenous flowers at the turn of Spring (Aug-Sept). Fynbos-scented coastal air acts as a harbinger for lobtailing dolphins and southern right whales, which put on an acrobatic display up to 10 months of the year.
Birdlovers will also delight in the neighbouring Berg River estuary and the Rocherpan Nature Reserve. A visit to Langebaan´s West Coast National Park and Paternoster Cape Columbine Nature Reserve rounds off the package nicely. |
