Goodwood is a suburb situated between the Northern and Southern suburbs of Cape Town. It is 10 kilometres from the city centre and accessible to both the N1, N7 and N2 highways.

Goodwood is named after the famous British horseracing track. A racetrack was built, but was abandoned after only one meeting. Goodwood is now best known as being the home of the Grand West Casino and the world class ice skating rink. Goodwood is also close to the Century City complex which comprisis the huge Canal Walk Shopping Centre and Ratanga Junction theme park.
