At The Tulip Hotel & Conference Centre, we believe in providing our guests with good, clean accommodation and personal service at excellent rates. The hotel is ideal for school groups, church groups, budget travellers and corporate clients looking for a place to stay that offers all the necessities, while avoiding all the unnecessary costs of “frills.”

The rooms are clean and serviced daily and the beds are comfortable. All 86 rooms have en-suite bathrooms, most of which have both a bath and a shower. Those rooms that are situated on higher floors provide residents with excellent views of Table Mountain and other parts of the city: a five-star view for a budget price.

A computer with Internet access is situated in the reception area. Guests who would like to use it may do so for a small fee. For those guests with their own laptop computers, wireless Internet on the ground floor is also available for a small charge.

The Tulip’s restaurant, located on the second floor of the hotel, serves a hearty buffet meal twice a day. An á la carte menu is also provided for those requiring a snack between meals. Many wonderful city restaurants are also within walking distance of the Tulip Hotel, including the African Café, Caveau Wine Bar, Savoy Cabbage, Ginja, Shogun and Marco’s African Place.

For those seeking a bit of culture, the Wonderful Gold of Africa Museum is just across the street from the hotel.

If you want to organise a conference or a meeting, the Tulip also offers conferencing facilities for up to 60 people, with all the necessary, up-to-date conferencing equipment available.

All the bedrooms at the Tulip Hotel are tastefully decorated in warm, welcoming colours and outfitted with comfortable furniture. Each bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom, most of which have both a bath and a shower. Rooms are available in double, twin, triple and family size. The family rooms, which can sleep up to five people, are especially ideal for visiting tour groups.

To make the Tulip Hotel feel even more like home away from home for guests, each room has a TV set with access to a pay-television channel called M-Net – which broadcasts an array of local and international sports events, movies and television series – a direct dial telephone, and tea/coffee making facilities. Every room also has a safety deposit box where guests can safely store some of their valuable possessions without having to worry. If guests require any laundry services during their stay, a laundry service is located on the premises.

To provide further comfort to guests, bedrooms at the Tulip Hotel are either air-conditioned – providing heat in winter and cool air in summer – or have soothing fans to keep the renowned South African summer heat at bay.

Lounge and Bar
At the Tulip Hotel in Cape Town, guests can have a drink at the cosy Tavern Bar located on the ground floor, or relax and visit with friends in the adjacent comfortable lounge. The large windows in the lounge allow patrons to watch the outside world go by.
