The reception at the hotel is a welcoming space, furnished with couches to create a relaxation area. Those who would like to keep an eye on the work side of things, can turn to the hotel’sbusiness centre. Located in the lobby, it boasts two Apple computers.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff offer a full concierge service and can refer guests to the tourism centre, which is also located in the lobby. This centre is equipped with flyers and information about all the popular tours and destinations in and around Cape Town. The multi-lingual staff can also help with any bookings that need to be made.
The Fountains Hotel and Conference Centre is a secure establishment. We have qualified staff and a security station at each entry point of the hotel to ensure that our guests remain safe. Three levels of underground parking provide secure parking for our guests.
Conference facilities are also available at the Fountains Hotel. These modern and flexible rooms are set up to accommodate private meetings or functions with up to 250 delegates in various rooms. An in-house professional conference co-ordinator is always on hand to assist with conferences.
There is wireless internet access available right throughout the hotel, including in the rooms, in the public areas and inside the conference rooms.

The tasteful decor of our rooms not only enhances the already beautiful setting, but has also been designed for optimum comfort. Crisp white linen looks stylish against bedding with bold and vibrant colours. Beautifully beaded gecko replicas decorate bedroom walls and add an ethnic touch. This beadwork is made by local crafters at Streetwires. The rooms have a spacious feel and each of the rooms have a comfortable, en-suite bathroom.
Each room has individual climate control so that our guests can remain comfortable at all times, no matter what the weather is doing outside. This also conforms to the green policy of the Fountains Hotel and Apartments.
In every room, our guests have access to satellite television, a mini bar, wireless Internet access, coffee and tea making facilities, a hairdryer and a safety deposit box, to make sure that our guests’ most valuable possessions are always secure.
Some of our rooms have balconies, and because of the hotel’s central location, all of our r0oms have spectacular views. Some rooms overlook the harbour, which is an important part of Cape Town’s history as it formed an integral part of the trade route to India. For other rooms, the magnificent Table Mountain forms a backdrop to their views, while other parts of the hotel overlook the vibrant Thibault Square, which is a central part of Cape Town’s business sector.
Housekeeping Department
To ensure that our guests stay in rooms that are comfortable and clean, the Fountains Hotel has a dedicated housekeeping department. Rooms are cleaned daily, so guests who do not want to be disturbed should kindly hang the provided ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on their door.
You might just be tempted to use that sign as you’ll surely be loathe to get up in the morning. All the linen used in the hotel is of quality cotton to ensure that our guests rest in the lap of luxury.
Living out of a suitcase with a limited wardrobe can sometimes lead to clothing emergencies. For the convenience of our guests, the Fountains Hotel offers an off-site laundry where guests can have their clothing attended to at an additional cost.

Alternatively, smaller conferences and business meetings can take place in the more intimate setting of the Fountains Apartments, which can be especially set-up as breakaway rooms for conferences if necessary.
An in-house professional Conference Manager will be on hand to advise you, assist you with the logistics of your conference planning and just generally attend to your every need.
The Fountains Hotel has all the standard equipment that you would require during the conference, including overhead projectors. This equipment will be made available to you during your conference. If you desire other, more specialised equipment, you can request it from your Fountains Hotel Conference Manager. As an additional courtesy to you, we will also happily provide flipcharts with notepads and pens to everyone attending your conference, completely free of charge.

Lunch
The Buffet is a bit lighter at lunchtime but still very substantial. Why not start with some delicious soup, and then tuck into one of the ten multi-vegetable salads before having a look at what our Chef has on the grill? Desserts include fresh fruit salad, cakes and puddings.

Enjoy a relaxed, candlelit dinner and watch as our team of chefs prepare your meal a la minute. Have your choice of a selection of succulent South African meats, fresh seafood, and pair it with our wine list of award winning estate wines from the Cape winelands.
Chef pulls out all the stops at dinner and the team in the kitchen prepares a buffet that will make your mouth water. Since fresh fish is something that is close to the hearts of many Capetonian chefs, you will often find a variety of fish dishes on the menu at the Fountains. Crispy fresh vegetables and imaginative salads are also something the kitchen staff at the Fountains prides themselves on, not to mention all the little side dishes to tantalise the palate. Dinner is concluded with showstopping desserts such as carrot cake, chocolate cake, trifle, fresh fruit salad, or perhaps even a crème caramel.
