PLEASE COME ON IN . . . PULL UP A CHAIR . . .
Some people come here for the peace and quiet, some to reward themselves with fine food after a vigorous day’s walking; most come for the whole weekend. Whatever the reason, Pleasant Places is a haven where the sights and smells of everything good about this area come together . . . Be yourself here . . . There are no airs and graces, just good humour, good manners, with food and wine aplenty.
TUCK IN . . .
Probably the hardest thing you’ll do here is choose what to eat. To be honest, its’ far better to eat the food at Pleasant Places than read about it – save to say that Linda and her kitchen devotees deserve the coveted Chef’s Hat Award they have been awarded! They covet happy diners and their empty plates. The wines are pretty good too, with a section of lesser known, yet very fine wines at prices you won’t believe. We cater for various dietary requirements and can even provide freshly baked Gluten Free bread for those who have the need. The coffee we serve is our own special blend, locally roasted and freshly ground each day.
In winter and on misty summer evenings, crackling log fires warm the lounge and dining room.
SLEEP OVER . . .
Pleasant Places has a secret. But not for long because when the word gets out about the bedrooms, their attraction could rival the food! Rooms with firm, yet soft beds, quirky walls from yesteryear, textures and colours to relax the senses – all combine to provide a welcome sanctuary. Don’t rush off home, sleep over another night.
STEP OUT . . .
Make no mistake, you’re in the country! The Lidgetton Valley, which forms part of the Lidgetton Conservancy, has numerous footpaths which lure you further and further as they wend their way through the countryside. Occasionally the Lions River comes into view down the valley, tempting you away from the forest glades. The best advice is to keep returning to ensure you haven’t missed anything!
