Besides our extraordinary levels of friendliness, service and attention, we at Sandals always strive to ensure that your stay with us will be an unforgettable pleasure, whether you are on holiday or enjoying a romantic getaway.

St. Francis Bay, the pretty holiday village, lies 100kms from Port Elizabeth, at the mouth of the Kromme River. The architecture of the place is one of its kind in South Africa with all the houses having thatch roofs – except for the area at the harbour which is built in a Mediterranean style.

St. Francis Bay is a Paradise for water sports enthusiasts: It boasts sandy beaches and ideal conditions for surfing. In season, August to October, whales can be seen daily in the Bay of St. Francis. Many holiday homes were built at the numerous canals from where one can get to the Kromme River by boat. The Harbour is the centre of the Calamari fishing and starting point for deep sea fishing trips.

About 10 kilometres south of St. Francis Bay lies Cape St. Francis with its impressive lighthouse built in 1878, which is open to visitors. Also, one can have beautiful walks through the Fynbos landscape offering various trails, climb between the rocks and watch the enormous breakers in awe.

Come and experience our unique atmosphere in laid-back luxury, just 150 metres from breathtaking beaches!
